BCDA starts bidding for Camp John Hay redevelopment

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has initiated the bidding process for the redevelopment of the Mile Hi property in Camp John Hay, aiming to boost local investment, tourism, and job creation.

The 6,647-square-meter site, previously a recreation center, will be transformed into a mixed-use development featuring an eco-hostel, high-end retail, and dining spaces.

BCDA President Joshua Bingcang emphasized the project's goal to enhance Camp John Hay's appeal as a premier destination while generating employment and economic activity.

The winning bidder will obtain a 25-year lease to restore and upgrade the property into a modern commercial hub that combines environmental sustainability with historical preservation.

The redevelopment aims to attract more visitors to Baguio and establish Camp John Hay as a leading leisure and investment destination in Northern Luzon.
