BCDA, DPWH to build P495M Hermosa-SCTEX interchange

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), NLEX Corporation, and the local government of Hermosa, Bataan will jointly construct a P495.35-million road interchange.

This new interchange will connect Hermosa, Bataan to the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), aiming to foster economic growth in Central Luzon.

The project is part of a strategy to enhance connectivity along the SCTEX and improve access to economic zones like Clark Freeport Zone, New Clark City, and Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

It will also provide better access to the Bataan Technology Park in Morong, the future site of the Philippine Marine Corps headquarters.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua Bingcang stated that the interchange will serve as a new economic gateway, supporting the logistics and manufacturing sectors and creating jobs.

This initiative aligns with the Luzon Economic Corridor strategy to stimulate industrial growth and strengthen the region's contribution to national progress.
