Bayan Muna launches white ribbon campaign vs EJKs

Bayan Muna launched a white ribbon campaign to show solidarity with victims of extrajudicial killings (EJKs) and their families, encouraging the public to display white ribbons as a symbol of support.

White ribbons were tied around trees at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani, bearing messages such as "Hustisya," "Duterte Panagutin," and "Stand with the Victims."

The campaign aims to mobilize nationwide support for accountability as former President Rodrigo Duterte faces charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague for alleged crimes against humanity.

Bayan Muna chairperson Neri Colmenares stated that the white ribbon represents justice for EJK victims and all human rights violations, emphasizing that these victims are the true casualties of the former president's war on drugs.

Families of EJK victims and human rights advocates joined the campaign, with one victim's sister urging Filipinos not to be blind to the ongoing situation.
