Batista powers Chery Tiggo past Capital1 with 41 points

Yunieska Batista scored a tournament-high 41 points, including the match-winning hit, to lead Chery Tiggo EV to a 27-25, 23-25, 25-12, 22-25, 15-13 victory over Capital1 in the PVL Reinforced Conference.

Batista's performance, which included the decisive 6-0 run in the fifth set, helped halt Chery Tiggo's slump and improved their record to 2-4.

The win keeps Chery Tiggo's quarterfinal hopes alive as the preliminaries near their conclusion.

Capital1's loss, despite 34 points from Oleksandra Bytsenko and a career-high 22 from Bella Belen, ended their streak of back-to-back wins.

Ara Galang contributed 11 points for Chery Tiggo, with Shaya Adorador adding seven, and Mylene Paat, Renee Peñafiel, and Cza Carandang scoring six each.
