Batangas Rep commends DPWH for removing officials linked to contractors

Batangas Representative Leandro Leviste lauded DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon for removing two officials, an assistant secretary and a director IV, who allegedly had ties with contractors.

These officials were appointed by former Undersecretary Arrey Perez, who resigned in October following Leviste's allegations of his involvement in procurement irregularities.

The DPWH stated its gratitude to Leviste for his recommendations and vigilance in ensuring agency reforms, transparency, and accountability.

Leviste estimates that companies linked to Congressman Edwin Gardiola have secured over P100 billion in DPWH projects, and the two removed officials are also allegedly linked to Gardiola.
