Batangas Port terminal fee to double to P60 by January 2026

The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has approved a P60 increase in the terminal fee for passengers at Batangas Port, to be implemented in two phases starting January 1, 2026.

The terminal fee will increase from P30 to P60 on January 1, 2026, and then to P90 by July 1, 2026.

Asian Terminals Incorporated (ATI), the port operator, had initially requested a P100 increase.

ATI cited the improvements to Batangas Port and the lack of terminal fee increases over the past 15 years as reasons for the hike.

Certain passenger sectors may still be exempt from the terminal fee.

Port authorities noted that 177,000 passengers have used the port since December 13.

Passengers are advised to arrive early for their trips and to avoid prohibited items, while officials warned against "fixers" who charge up to P2,000.
