Batang PBA to visit Doha
The Batang PBA, a youth basketball tournament, is expanding globally with its first international edition set to be held in Doha, Qatar, in late January or early February 2026.
The tournament will feature 48 teams across four age divisions – U12, U14, U16, and U19 – and will take place over four days at ACS International Doha School.
Teams from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain are expected to participate, adding an international dimension to the competition.
Tournament organizer Richard Del Rosario, also a Barangay Ginebra deputy coach, is collaborating with Mikee and Sara Calungcaguin for this global event.
A formal press conference for the event will be held on December 15 in Bahrain, where the PBA delegation will attend the Philippine Cup doubleheader games.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial expressed his approval of the initiative, noting its alignment with the league's 50th anniversary and its past international ventures in Dubai and Bahrain.
