Pacquiao, 46, believed he had won the fight, stating he felt he won eight rounds to four.

CompuBox statistics showed Barrios landing more total punches (120-101) by utilizing his jab effectively, landing 45 jabs to Pacquiao's 20.

Despite landing fewer total punches, Pacquiao, the Filipino legend, landed more power shots (81-75) and found success with rapid-fire combinations.

While Pacquiao appeared to be ahead through nine rounds, all three judges scored the final three championship rounds in favor of Barrios.

A rematch between Pacquiao and Barrios is likely due to the inconclusive outcome.

Barrios has now retained his title twice in a row by draw or split decision.
