BARMM PUIs drop by 61% to 100

The number of persons under investigation (PUIs) for COVID-19 in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has decreased by 61 percent, from 254 down to 100.

Of the initial 254 PUIs, 16 were discharged from the hospital, 136 completed home quarantine and were asymptomatic, and two died.

The remaining 100 PUIs are still awaiting their COVID-19 test results.

In the entire BARMM region, a total of eight individuals have tested positive for COVID-19, resulting in three fatalities, three recoveries, and two active cases.

A contingency plan will be activated if 10 percent of the region's population is affected, 40 percent are categorized as persons under monitoring (PUMs), or PUIs reach 4,700.
