Barangays finalize priority lists for COVID-19 vaccines

Barangay governments nationwide are finalizing lists of residents who have agreed to receive COVID-19 vaccines.

DILG Undersecretary Martin Diño confirmed that barangays have prepared these lists, prioritizing frontline workers and senior citizens.

However, ULAP chairman Dakila Cua warned that beneficiaries who refuse to be injected will be removed from the priority list.

Frontline workers, including barangay tanods and health workers, will be vaccinated first, followed by senior citizens, and the indigent public.

Barangay officials are also coordinating logistical preparations for the vaccination events while awaiting further instructions from national and city governments.

The Department of Interior and Local Government and the Department of Health have provided general guidelines, but specific regulations are still being finalized.
