Barangay Ginebra clinches playoff spot, extends streak to 47

Barangay Ginebra secured a playoff spot in the PBA Commissioner's Cup with a 120-92 victory over the Rain or Shine ElastoPainters, extending their record streak of playoff appearances to 47 straight conferences.

Justin Brownlee led the team with 29 points, including 20 in the first half, while Scottie Thompson contributed 22 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.

Troy Rosario also played a significant role, adding 14 points and seven offensive rebounds, as Ginebra led from start to finish in their biggest win of the conference.

The victory brought Ginebra's record to 7-4, placing them sixth in the standings and bouncing back from a previous loss to TNT.

This win is crucial for Ginebra as they aim to secure a Top 6 position and avoid a twice-to-beat disadvantage in the quarterfinals.

Ginebra will face the Meralco Bolts on January 29 to conclude their elimination round games.
