Baguio Mayor endorses Lacson-Sotto tandem

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong has formally endorsed the presidential and vice-presidential tandem of Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III.

Magalong stated that he believes Lacson and Sotto are the most prepared to lead the country for the next six years.

He pledged to convince his constituents to make an educated vote for the duo, highlighting that the progress experienced by Baguio City could be replicated across the country under their leadership.

The mayor cited a NEDA study estimating P41 trillion in pandemic-induced economic losses over the next four decades as a reason for the necessity of electing Lacson-Sotto.

Magalong described the country's current situation as being in a "deep and dark pit" and "quicksand."

During a forum, Lacson reiterated their platform of "Aayusin ang Gobyerno at Uubusin ang Magnanakaw" ('Fix the Government' and 'Get Rid of the Thieves').
