P50-million BUCAS Plus center to rise in Bacolod
Bacolod City and Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) have partnered to establish the Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS) Plus Center, the first in the Negros Island Region.
The memorandum of agreement, signed by Mayor Greg Gasataya and CLMMRH chief Dr. Joan Cerrada, outlines the initial five-year operation of the facility.
The BUCAS Plus Center will have a 15-bed capacity and will offer telemedicine services along with an HIV/AIDS treatment hub.
The Department of Health (DOH) will provide manpower, equipment, and supplies for the center.
The construction of the BUCAS Plus Center, with a budget of PHP50 million, is anticipated to be finished within nine months and is located at San Sebastian Street in Dawis.
The project was initiated by Bacolod Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez when he was mayor.
