Autistic boy found after 4 days, dies from ordeal

A six-year-old boy with Level 3 autism, Jarren Dabaras, who went missing for four days, was found safe in Barangay Atok Trail, Baguio City on the morning of October 2, 2025.

The child, who was non-verbal, was discovered weak, dehydrated, and covered in mud by a volunteer driver.

Despite receiving immediate medical treatment, Jarren passed away on the morning of October 3, 2025, succumbing to the physical toll of his ordeal.

Jarren had been separated from his family since September 29, prompting a four-day search and rescue operation.

The extensive operation involved the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Baguio City Police, barangay officials, volunteers, and neighbors.

The Dabaras family conveyed their deep gratitude to everyone who participated in the search for their son, and condolences have poured in from residents.
