Defending champion Ateneo de Manila University and top seed National University (NU) will clash for the UAAP Season 87 men's badminton championship.

Ateneo defeated the University of the Philippines (UP) 3-1 in their semifinal match to secure their fourth consecutive Finals appearance.

NU routed the University of Santo Tomas (UST) 3-0 to earn a chance for redemption after losing the crown last season.

The Bulldogs previously won the championship in Seasons 82 and 85, completing a seven-peat before losing the title last year.

The title showdown between Ateneo and undefeated NU is set for 8 a.m. on Wednesday at the Rizal Memorial Badminton Hall.
