Army, Eagle Cement distribute relief packs to Bulacan families

Army troops and Eagle Cement collaborated to distribute relief packs to 620 families in Doña Remedios Trinidad and San Ildefonso towns in Bulacan.

The relief packs contained rice and canned goods, with additional vitamins, medicine, and free water supply also distributed to residents in need.

Eagle Cement's President & CEO Paul Ang stated the company is committed to assisting families affected by the enhanced community quarantine, especially daily-wage earners, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.

The relief operations also included assistance to 60 families of the Dumagat tribe in a remote mountainous area of DRT, a community Eagle Cement has supported since 2017.

Eagle Cement plans to extend its assistance by providing more communities with better access to essential hygiene products such as soaps and sanitizers.

Ang emphasized that as a Filipino company, Eagle Cement has a duty to serve its countrymen during this time of need and assures continued support.

Lt. Col. Felix Emeterio M. Valdez praised Eagle Cement's initiative and encouraged other businesses to contribute to relief efforts.

Eagle Cement Security Manager Rolando Malinao confirmed that the company's relief operations will continue until the COVID-19 crisis is over.
