Army commissions 262 new second lieutenants

Army chief Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay presided over the graduation ceremonies for the Officer Preparatory Course (OPC) Class 71-2019 and Officer Candidate Course (OCC) Class 53-2020 at Camp O'Donnell in Capas, Tarlac.

A total of 70 graduates from OPC and 192 graduates from OCC will be commissioned as second lieutenants.

These new officers are joining the Army amid the country's battle against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

Gapay lauded the new officers for their courage and hard work, encouraging them to continue serving the country.
