Anna Milagros David appointed first Pres of URC's BCF PH business

Universal Robina Corporation (URC) has appointed Anna Milagros "Mian" David as the first President of its Branded Consumer Foods (BCF) business in the Philippines.

URC's BCF business encompasses a wide range of products including snacks, candies, chocolates, canned beans, tea, coffee, biscuits, and noodles.

Prior to this appointment, David held significant roles at URC, including managing director for URC International and chief marketing officer, where she drove incremental revenue and achieved double-digit operating margins over the last two years.

She initially joined URC in 2018 as vice president for the beverages segment and also oversaw the snack foods business.

David has a total of 17 years of experience in sales and marketing, including local and global roles with a multinational company before joining URC.

She previously spent 17 years at Unilever, where she was credited with reviving Great Taste coffee and reengineering the C2 ready-to-drink tea brand.

David's stated aim is to drive topline growth and increase market share by remaining true to URC's mission of delighting consumers.

URC also plans to allocate over P8 billion to its capital expenditure budget this year, focusing on organic capacity and infrastructure growth.

The company's shares rose by 1.38% to P62.50 on Thursday.
