Angelica Panganiban returns to acting with MMFF entry 'Unmarry'

Angelica Panganiban returns to acting with the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry 'Unmarry', her comeback film after a hiatus to focus on motherhood.

She chose 'Unmarry' because the script reignited her passion for acting, providing the 'spark' she was looking for in a project.

The film, which tackles the theme of annulment, reunites Panganiban with co-star Zanjoe Marudo and director Jeffrey Jeturian.

Panganiban expressed her belief that individuals should be allowed to pursue freedom through annulment without judgment, drawing from her own insights on the matter.

She found filming an emotionally heavy scene with co-lead Zanjoe Marudo by their third day of shooting memorable.

Panganiban also shared her admiration for co-stars Solenn Heussaff, Eugene Domingo, and Shamaine Buencamino, recalling being starstruck by the latter.

A bar scene, which director Jeffrey Jeturian had her reshoot, particularly pushed her as a performer.
