Andrew Tan's AGI donates over P603M to COVID-19 fight

Andrew Tan's group, Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI), has donated over P603 million to various efforts in the country's fight against COVID-19.

Since the beginning of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine on March 17, the conglomerate has instituted projects to help both government and other organizations in protecting Filipinos from the spread of virus.

AGI's donations include a P100-million contribution to Project Ugnayan for distributing food vouchers to urban poor families in Metro Manila.

The group also provided P250 million worth of disinfectant alcohol to various hospitals, LGUs, government agencies, and organizations nationwide.

Megaworld Corp. donated P60 million to the Philippine Red Cross for the purchase of four new COVID-19 test laboratories capable of conducting 10,000 tests per day.

AGI allocated P65 million to various LGUs and non-government organizations for programs related to the pandemic.

Resorts World Manila and its partners contributed P125 million worth of PPEs for medical frontliners and grocery bags for poor communities in Metro Manila.

Megaworld Corp. and Megaworld Foundation donated P3 million worth of food, groceries, and free transport for medical workers and other frontliners.

McDonald's Philippines' Kindness Kitchen distributed over 100,000 meals to healthcare workers, government personnel, and urban poor families.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls waived rental charges for retail partners to support them during the pandemic.
