All PH regions under minimal COVID-19 risk

All regions in the Philippines have been classified as minimal risk for COVID-19, with health systems operating at low risk, according to a health official.

The daily average of COVID-19 cases nationwide has decreased by 13% compared to the previous week, reaching an average of 490 cases from March 15 to 21.

Severe and critical COVID-19 cases have significantly dropped from 1,874 in mid-January to 805.

The number of asymptomatic, mild, and moderate COVID-19 admissions are also at manageable levels.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire attributed the decline in infections and severe cases to the increasing vaccination coverage for primary series and booster shots.
