Alex Eala reaches new career-high WTA ranking of world No. 53

Alex Eala has achieved a new career-high WTA world ranking of No. 53, accumulating 1131 points.

She previously held a ranking of No. 54 as of October 6.

Despite an early exit in the Japan Women's Open, where she lost to Tereza Valentova, Eala's improved ranking reflects her consistent performance.

Eala is set to compete in the Guangzhou Open in China, participating in both singles and doubles events.

In the singles, she will face American Claire Liu, and in doubles, she will partner with Nadiia Kichenok of Ukraine against the pair Tang Qianhui and Emily Appleton.

Following the Guangzhou Open, Eala is scheduled to participate in the Hong Kong Open from October 27 to November 2.
