Alex Eala and partner lose in Macau Tennis Masters mixed doubles

Filipino tennis player Alex Eala and her partner Jerry Shang lost to Yibing Wu and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the mixed doubles event of the MGM Macau Tennis Masters.

The final score was 7-5, 7-6 against Eala and Shang.

Alex Eala also fell to Mirra Andreeva, 6-4, 6-2, in the women's singles tournament on Sunday.

After a tightly contested first set, Eala took a 2-1 lead in the second before Andreeva reeled off five consecutive games to secure the exhibition victory.

Eala is expected to return to action in January at the Australian Open.
