Alden Richards unfazed by criticism for directorial debut 'Out of Order'

Alden Richards is open to receiving both praise and constructive criticism for his directorial debut in the film "Out of Order," viewing it as an opportunity to learn and improve his storytelling.

He believes that focusing only on positive feedback is not always beneficial, stating, "Hindi naman pwedeng laging magaganda lang ‘yung laging tinitignan natin."

Richards draws upon his 15 years of acting experience, which he feels has equipped him with the necessary knowledge for filmmaking despite lacking formal training.

His 15 years in acting have allowed him to accumulate stock knowledge that he applied to his directorial debut.

The film "Out of Order" achieved the number one spot on Netflix's "Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today" during its initial week and has since moved to the ninth spot.

It was also recognized internationally at the 2025 Jagran Film Festival in India and featured in the Da Nang Asian Film Festival in Vietnam.
