Alas Pilipinas arrives in Taiwan for SEA Games training camp

The Philippine men's volleyball team, Alas Pilipinas, has arrived in Taiwan for a two-week training camp as part of their final preparations for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in December.

The team, which includes the same players who competed in the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championships, will play six friendly matches against strong Taiwanese teams in Kaohsiung.

Veteran Marck Espejo expressed the team's need to train together after a long break, aiming for good preparation for the SEA Games.

The squad also features new additions, including University of Santo Tomas players Al-Bukarie Sali and JJ Macam, and Lucca Mamone.

Sali, an opposite spiker, expressed excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to join the Alas team.

Team captain Bryan Bagunas is currently in Japan, playing for the Osaka Bluteon in the ongoing SV.League.
