Akari remains undefeated in PVL Reinforced Conference

Akari maintained its perfect record and top position in the PVL Reinforced Conference standings after a challenging five-set victory against Galeries.

The Chargers secured their sixth consecutive win, with the final score at 23-25, 25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 18-16.

Import Oly Okaro led Akari's offense with 32 points, including blocks, although she felt she could have performed better in critical moments of the fifth set.

Ivy Lacsina provided significant support with 20 points, mostly from attacks.

Grethcel Soltones contributed 13 points and crucial plays in the deciding set, along with strong defensive efforts with 11 digs and 14 receptions.

The Chargers' defense was further bolstered by liberos Dani Ravena, who had 18 excellent digs, and Max Juangco, with 14 excellent receptions.

This win also secured Akari's first quarterfinal appearance in the tournament.
