Aboitiz InfraCapital to take over Bohol airport operations June 16

Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc. (AIC) is set to take over the operations and management of Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) on June 16.

The company plans to invest P4.53 billion to expand BPIA's passenger terminal, upgrade aviation systems, and enhance airside and landside facilities.

These upgrades aim to increase BPIA's annual passenger capacity from two million to 2.5 million within one to two years, and to 3.9 million by 2030.

AIC president and CEO Cosette Canilao stated that the modernization will support Bohol's rise as a vibrant tourism and economic hub in the Visayas.

This project, under a 30-year concession agreement, is expected to bolster tourism and regional development.

BPIA will join AIC's existing aviation portfolio, which includes Mactan-Cebu International Airport and Laguindingan International Airport.
