AIC takes over Laguindingan Airport operations

Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC) has officially taken over the operations and maintenance of Laguindingan International Airport as of April 26.

AIC plans a two-phase expansion for the airport, aiming to increase its annual passenger capacity first to 3.9 million and then to 6.3 million.

AIC has partnered with Ireland-based daa International for the airport's upgrade and operation.

The company will also assume operations and maintenance of the New Bohol-Panglao International Airport by June.

Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., the parent company, has allocated P105 billion for capital expenditures this year.
