ADB approves $200M loan for PH climate-resilient infra projects

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $200-million loan to the Philippines to bolster the preparation of high-quality, climate-resilient infrastructure projects.

This additional financing for the Infrastructure Preparation and Innovation Facility (IPIF) aims to boost economic growth and improve Filipinos' access to essential services.

The loan will support the preparation of complex and critical projects, including roads, bridges, transport, and flood risk management, identified as government flagships.

By accelerating feasibility studies and detailed engineering designs with climate-resilient features, the loan will help the Philippines meet its climate commitments and national adaptation priorities.
