Adamson Lady Falcons claim solo third in UAAP women's basketball

The Adamson Lady Falcons secured a dominant 63-51 victory over the University of the East Lady Warriors, propelling them to sole possession of third place in the UAAP Season 87 women's basketball tournament.

This win marks Adamson's best start in 12 years, with their current 5-2 record only surpassed by defending champion University of Santo Tomas and runner-up National University.

Head coach Ryan Monteclaro expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance in the first round, emphasizing the players' effort and execution.

Despite a strong third-quarter run by UE that narrowed the gap, Adamson responded with a decisive 9-0 run in the final period to regain control of the game.

Kim Limbago led the Lady Falcons with 10 points, complemented by strong performances from Kemi Adeshina (seven points, 11 rebounds), Angela Alaba (seven points), and Elaine Etang (five points, six assists).

The loss extends UE's losing streak to three games, placing them at the bottom of the standings with a 1-6 record, tied with Far Eastern University.
