Adamson snaps 5-game skid, stays in Final Four race

Adamson University kept their UAAP Season 87 Final Four aspirations alive with a 45-37 victory over the University of the East, snapping a five-game losing streak and improving their record to 4-7.

AJ Fransman led the Soaring Falcons with 14 points and nine rebounds in the crucial win.

This game was notable for being the first time since 2019 that a UAAP men's basketball game concluded with both teams scoring under 40 points.

Adamson's decisive run came in the fourth quarter, where they outscored UE 10-0 to secure their lead.

Coach Nash Racela expressed relief with the win, noting that Adamson had nearly gone winless in October.

The victory avenged Adamson's one-point loss to UE in the first round and placed them a game behind University of Santo Tomas (5-6) for the fourth spot.

Defending champion De La Salle University (10-1) and University of the Philippines (9-1) have secured the first two Final Four seats.
