Activist Jory Porquia shot dead in Iloilo City

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) stated that the motive is still under investigation.

Bayan Muna and the League of Filipino Students (LFS) claimed Porquia was assassinated as part of political killings targeting activists critical of the Duterte administration.

The LFS condemned the killing, stating, "Fascists attacks continue while we're in the middle of a pandemic."

Porquia was a long-time activist involved in protests since the martial law era.
