Aboitiz Construction finishes new berth for DICT Bulk Terminal

Aboitiz Construction has completed the design and construction of a new 200-meter berth for DICT Bulk Terminal Inc. (DBTI) in Panabo City, Davao del Norte.

DBTI is a joint venture between Davao International Container Terminal Inc. and Philcement Corp.

The new berth, designed to handle cement and cementitious materials, can accommodate vessels up to 60,000 deadweight tonnage and features a material handling system.

This expansion increases DICT's total berth length to 930 meters, strengthening its role as Mindanao's premier agro-industrial gateway.

Aboitiz Construction director, president and chairman Anton Perdices stated that the continuing partnership with DICT allows them to showcase their expertise in delivering quality infrastructure that supports the region's growth.

A total of 105 workers, mostly locally hired, were engaged during the construction phase, highlighting Aboitiz Construction's commitment to job generation.
