Abby Binay gets endorsements from Cebu, Pampanga mayors

Makati City Mayor Abby Binay has secured endorsements from 31 mayors in Cebu, a province with 3.7 million voters, and from local officials in Pampanga.

This support from Cebu's local leaders, including 31 mayors and earlier from Governor Gwen Garcia, is a significant boost to Binay's senatorial bid.

In Pampanga, Binay received the endorsement of Governor Dennis Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, and dozens of other local officials.

Binay highlighted her commitment to amending the 1991 Local Government Code, aiming to enhance the capabilities of local government units.

She stated that local governments deserve the tools, authority, and flexibility to serve their people more effectively.

Her legislative priorities also include improving healthcare with free maintenance medicines, strengthening early childhood education, and making overtime pay and bonuses tax-free for workers.
