Rep. Paduano appointed caretaker of Negros Occidental's 3rd district

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez appointed Abang Lingkod Representative Joseph Stephen Paduano as the legislative caretaker of Negros Occidental's 3rd district for the remainder of the 19th Congress.

This caretaker role is necessary as the previous representative, Jose Francisco Benitez, has been appointed as the director general of TESDA.

Paduano, a native of EB Magalona, is familiar with the district, which includes Murcia town and the cities of Talisay, Silay, and Victorias.

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson welcomed Paduano's designation, stating he was the logical choice.

Benitez expressed full confidence in Paduano's ability to represent the district's interests and oversee the completion of ongoing projects until the end of the 19th Congress in June 2025.
