961,000 Moderna doses arrive in PH

A total of 961,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the Philippines at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

Of the shipment, 712,800 doses were purchased by the Philippine government, while 248,200 doses were procured by the International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI).

This was the fourth tranche of ICTSI-procured Moderna vaccines delivered to the country.

The vaccines will be distributed to various regions outside the National Capital Region (NCR), including Regions III and IV-A, Cebu, and Mindanao.

The Philippines also received nearly 200,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine on the same day.

The country's total vaccine supply has now reached 59,169,810 doses.
