90% of Marikina families return home post-Typhoon Ulysses

Nearly 90% of the 10,500 families evacuated in Marikina City due to Typhoon Ulysses have returned to their homes, with only 1,050 families remaining in evacuation centers.

The city government is actively conducting clearing operations for the massive amount of debris left by the typhoon, which is equivalent to a year and a half's worth of the city's garbage.

Approximately 9,080 cubic meters of debris have been hauled, and 45% of the clearing operations have been completed, with efforts now focused on secondary roads and interior alleys.

Some residents cannot return home because their houses were destroyed by the typhoon.
