9 more Dagupan frontliners test positive for COVID-19, total now 14

Nine more front-liners of the Dagupan city government have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to 14 cases.

The new positive results were part of laboratory tests conducted by the Philippine Red Cross and the city government.

The affected workers have been isolated, and contact tracing procedures have been initiated.

Mayor Brian Lim has suspended the city's transition to Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) and appealed to the IATF to retain Dagupan City under General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

The city government is providing food packs and testing for the immediate family members of the 14 front-liners who tested positive.

Thirteen of the patients are now confined at the Region 1 Medical Center, while the other one is at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital.

The city government and the Dagupan City police are considering a 'targeted lockdown' instead of a barangay lockdown.
