8 suspects in Alice Guo case moved to Pasig City Jail

Eight individuals accused alongside dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo have been transferred to Pasig City Jail from Tarlac Provincial Jail.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) confirmed the transfer of these persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) on Thursday, October 3.

The eight PDLs, including Walter Wong Long and Shicong Zhang, are facing charges of Qualified Trafficking in Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) cases 166 and 167.

Walter Wong Long faces an additional case, Pasig RTC 167, along with other co-accused of Alice Guo.

Alice Guo herself was previously transferred to Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory on September 23.

Guo is currently facing multiple charges including graft, qualified human trafficking, money laundering, tax evasion, falsification, obstruction of justice, and perjury.

These arrests and charges stem from an investigation into the alleged illegal operations of some Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) firms.
