54% of Filipinos back anti-political dynasty law: Pulse Asia

A recent Pulse Asia survey shows that 54% of adult Filipinos support the immediate passage of a law prohibiting political dynasties.

The survey, conducted from December 12 to 15, found that 21% "very much agree" and 33% "somewhat agree" with the law's enactment.

Support was highest in Metro Manila (69%), followed by the rest of Luzon and the Visayas (both 59%).

Opposition to the law was highest in Mindanao at 27%, where only 34% agreed.

Nationwide, 27% of Filipinos remained undecided, while 18% disagreed.

The survey also revealed that 52% of respondents see the urgency of passing a law to establish the Independent Commission Against Infrastructure Corruption (ICAIC).
