SPD busts 4 HVT in Taguig, seizes P3.4M shabu

Four high-value targets were apprehended and over PHP3.4 million worth of shabu were confiscated in a sting operation conducted by the Southern Police District's Drug Enforcement Unit in Taguig City on July 28.

The suspects, identified as alias Ryan (33), alias Analiza (37), alias Marilog (33), and alias Jeffrey (39), were arrested in Barangay Calzada-Tipas.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.4 million, along with P1,000 marked money and 139 pieces of P1,000 boodle money.

The seized evidence will undergo examination by the SPD Forensic Unit.

The four individuals will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and criminal complaints will be filed against them with the Taguig City Prosecutor's Office.

Separately, on July 29, Taguig Police arrested alias Jeorge in Barangay Sta. Ana during a buy-bust operation.

This second operation confiscated 16.6 grams of suspected shabu valued at P112,880 and four disposable vapes with suspected cannabis oil worth P28,000.

The suspect will also face charges for violating Republic Act 9165.
