35 BARMM employees test positive for COVID-19

Thirty-five employees of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) administrative center in Cotabato City have contracted the coronavirus disease.

Of the 35 infected employees, 29 reside in Cotabato City and six are from Maguindanao province.

The first case was identified on August 30 in the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) building.

Swab tests were conducted from September 2 to 5 on individuals who had direct contact or recent transactions with the initial confirmed cases.

Out of 229 swab samples taken, 181 results were received, with 32 testing positive for COVID-19.

The newly confirmed cases are all in stable condition and undergoing strict isolation.

The three initial employees who tested positive were from Cotabato City and worked at the Finance, Budget and Management Services of the OCM.
