DSWD vows full support for repatriated OFWs, from arrival to reintegration
More than 300 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Shanghai participated in the OFW Serbisyo Caravan held on September 13-14, 2025.
The event, organized by the Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), provided various government services to OFWs.
Services offered included processing for the PhilSys National ID, civil registry documents, Pag-IBIG and SSS record updates, and opening Land Bank accounts.
Land Bank also introduced the 'Go Bayani' savings account specifically for OFWs to manage their contributions to SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth.
The DMW reported a total of 1,214 transactions during the caravan, exceeding their expectations for participation.
The next OFW Serbisyo Caravan is scheduled to take place in London from October 9-11, 2025.
