34 PH hospitals to receive Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses

Thirty-four hospitals across the country, including 35 in the National Capital Region, one in Cebu, and one in Davao, will be the first recipients of 117,000 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines from the COVAX Facility.

These hospitals were instructed by the Department of Health (DOH) to submit verified lists of vaccine recipients and a quick substitution list.

Most hospitals have complied with the DOH's request, although some are still completing their substitution lists.

All 34 hospitals are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccines, including the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

PGH Director Dr. Gerardo Legaspi reported that 94% of the hospital's healthcare workers have pre-registered for vaccination, an increase from the 74% who initially agreed to be immunized.
