329 Filipinos repatriated from Ukraine as of March 17

Nineteen additional Filipino seafarers who were aboard the Chariana L have arrived in the Philippines, bringing the total number of repatriated Filipinos from Ukraine to 329 as of March 17.

A Filipina and her Ukrainian husband, who fled the port city of Odessa, have also arrived in the Philippines.

They were assisted by the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Chisinau, Moldova, and the Philippine Embassy in Budapest, Hungary.

To date, the DFA has provided assistance to a total of 370 Filipinos in Ukraine.

More than 2.8 million people have fled Ukraine, according to the United Nations, marking Europe's fastest-growing refugee crisis since World War II.
