30% of Filipino adults feel quality of life improved in September SWS poll

A September 2025 Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey revealed that 30% of Filipino adults perceived an improvement in their quality of life, while 32% reported a decline.

The survey, conducted from Sept. 24-30 with 1,500 respondents, found that 38% said their quality of life was unchanged.

The Net Gainers score, calculated by subtracting "Losers" from "Gainers," stood at -2, which the SWS categorized as "fair."

This score represents a significant drop from +12 in June 2025 and is the lowest since September 2023.

The decline in Net Gainers was observed across all geographical areas, with Mindanao experiencing the highest score at +3, followed by the Visayas at +1, Balance Luzon at -4, and Metro Manila at -8.

This rise in pessimism coincides with the government uncovering a widespread graft issue involving public works officials, lawmakers, and contractors.
