3 siblings die in Quezon City house fire

Three siblings, aged 10, seven, and five, perished in a residential fire that occurred in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City.

The fire, which reached the third alarm, significantly damaged a row of houses made of light materials along P. Florentino Street.

The children's mother, Jeanine Pauline Miñoza, was arranging a CT scan for her own mother's medical needs when the fire broke out.

Firefighters were able to rescue the 53-year-old grandmother from the blaze, but they were unable to save the children who were trapped on the third floor of their home.

The parents, Jeanine Pauline Miñoza and Alfredo Albino Jr., are now grieving and staying in an evacuation center.

The youngest child, Zara Kathryn, had just celebrated her birthday on October 3.

Around 100 individuals lost their homes in the incident and are now temporarily staying at the nearby Sto. Domingo Church.

The Bureau of Fire Protection is currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident and the estimated cost of damages.
