3 hurt in Leyte ambush try
Three supporters of a mayoral candidate were injured in an ambush by three unidentified assailants on a private van in Tabango town, Leyte.
The van, carrying eight passengers, was ambushed in Barangay Manlawaan on Friday evening as it traveled from Barangay Gimarco to the town proper.
The three injured passengers were rushed to the Tabango Community Hospital.
Police arrested five other passengers who were found to be in possession of firearms.
