29% of Filipinos say quality of life improved in 2025, SWS poll shows

A recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) poll revealed that 29% of Filipino adults believe their quality of life improved over the past year, while 36% felt it worsened.

The survey indicated that 34% of respondents experienced no change in their quality of life.

The net gainers score, calculated by subtracting the percentage of losers from gainers, registered at -7, which is considered 'fair' and the lowest in four years.

Mindanao recorded the highest net gainers score at +2, classified as 'high', while other regions like Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, and the Visayas had 'fair' to 'mediocre' scores.

Both urban and rural areas saw a decline in net gainers scores compared to the previous survey in September.

The SWS survey was conducted from November 24 to 30, 2025, involving face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide.
