26 PH areas to experience danger level heat index on Tuesday

Twenty-six locations across the Philippines are forecasted to experience a "danger level" heat index on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, with temperatures potentially reaching dangerous levels.

San Ildefonso, Bulacan is expected to record the highest heat index at 46°C.

Dagupan City, Pangasinan, and Tuguegarao City, Cagayan are also anticipated to have very high heat indices of 45°C and 44°C, respectively.

Several other areas, including various locations in Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Palawan, and Cavite, will experience heat indices reaching up to 43°C.

Additionally, 15 other locations, including cities in Ilocos Norte, La Union, Zambales, Tarlac, Occidental Mindoro, Masbate, Camarines Sur, Albay, Northern Samar, and Zamboanga Del Sur, are predicted to have a heat index of 42°C.

PAGASA classifies heat indices ranging from 42°C to 51°C as falling under the "danger" category, posing a significant risk of heat stroke to individuals exposed.
